The Banking Sector is the backbone of an economy and plays a pivotal role in the planets sustainability.

Subscribing to a greener planet, the BOC is proactive in their approach to the national green agenda. With a long-term sustainability commitment, the bank has embarked on a series of ongoing green initiatives.

Directly contributing to the Government’s “Wana Ropa” national forest cover extension target, the bank has undertaken a replanting project in Gal Oya Forest Reserve, the Kumbuk Arana project in the Kalu Ganga riverbed and the Green Net project in the Southern province.

 

Sustainable Development Goals 16 : Peace, justice, and strong institutions

BOC has an open policy on whistle blowing correspondence, customer complaints are addressed diligently throughout the year with a seven working days complaint response time.

Membership payments are being made to nine institutes to partner diversely impactful, long term sustainability goals for a greener planet.
