Eligibility Criteria

  • Migrant employee who maintains a Personal Foreign Currency Account (PFCA) with the Bank Of Ceylon
  • Minimum of 3 regular remittances should be received to the migrant employee’s PFCA or Rupee savings account
  • Persons aged between 18-50 years and the loan facility to be recovered in full before borrower reaches the age of 50 years
  • Holder of a valid visa or valid job contract
  • Should have a clean CRIB record

 

Purpose

  • To be utilized for any purpose in Sri Lanka which is legally acceptable to the bank
  • To make payments in respect of current transactions of immediate family members of the borrower who are resident in Sri Lanka

Quantum of loan

Maximum amount : Rs 2,500,000

 

Repayment

Maximum 03 years within the visa period/ job contract period

 

Security

  • Two personal guarantors acceptable to the Bank 
    I. First Guarantor should be a migrant employee, who has similar repayment capacity as the borrower
    II. Second Guarantor Should be from Sri Lanka, who is an immediate family member or a sibling of the borrower acceptable to the bank
  • Decreasing Term Assurance (DTA) Cover policy for the borrower by an acceptable insurance service provider
  • Undertaking letter to remit monthly installment from the borrower
