Sustainable Development Goals 14 : Life Below Water
Committed to marine conservation, BOC actively adheres to environmental and social governance (ESG) principles. In partnership with Biodiversity Sri Lanka & MEPA on the "Life to Our Beaches" program, Bank is actively cleaning & preserving a 600-meter stretch at Beruwala beach, establishing a dedicated "Beach Caretaker" role for long-term sustainability. The bank-sponsored project aligns with our commitment to life below water, providing employment opportunities and promoting corporate citizenship."
