AN-NOOR Mudaraba Savings Account (LKR)
  • Operates under the concept of “Mudaraba”.
  • Personal (Individual and Joint)
  • Non-personal entities such as societies, clubs, associations, sole proprietorships, partnerships, limited liability companies, and other corporate bodies eligible to open and operate a savings account.
  • Profit Sharing Ratio (PSR) - 45:55 between the depositor and the bank.
  • Available to all Sri Lankans above 18 years of age.
  • Accessible at any BOC branch, with benefits such as ATM/DEBIT, internet banking, SMS, etc.
AN-NOOR Athfal Savings Account (LKR for minors)
  • Minor accounts for children, Operates under the concept of “Mudaraba”.
  • Parents/guardians can open accounts for any Sri Lankan minor below 18 years of age.
  • Profit Sharing Ratio (PSR) - 50:50 between the depositor and the bank.
  • Parents/guardians can open the account for any Sri Lankan below 18 years of age.
AN-NOOR Foreign Currency Savings Account
  • Operates under the concept of “Mudaraba”.
  • following designated foreign currency in the domestic banking unit.
    USD - US Dollar
    GBP - Sterling Pounds
    EUR - Euro
  • An individual including a minor who is a Sri Lankan national, An individual of Sri Lankan origin including a minor who is a resident outside Sri Lanka, A non-national resident in Sri Lanka including a minor.
  • Accounts opened in the name of minors whose parents are employed abroad.
  • Profit Sharing Ratio (PSR) - 45:55 between the depositor and the bank and 50:50 for minor accounts.

AN-NOOR Current Account
  • Operates under the concept of “ Qard”
  • Personal (Individual and Joint)
  • Non-personal entities such as societies, clubs, associations, sole proprietorships, partnerships, limited liability companies, and other corporate bodies eligible to open and operate a savings account.
  • Accessible at any BOC branch, with benefits such as ATM/DEBIT, internet banking, SMS, etc.
Wakala Bil Istismar (investment agency contract)

A contract of agency where the customer acts as an agent for the bank’s investments in Shari’ah compliant transactions.
eg- To meet working capital requirement or Business cash flow.

Murabaha (cost-plus sale agreement)
  • A sales contract where goods are sold at cost plus a pre-agreed profit.
  • Payment can be made in lump-sum or instalments.
    eg- Purchase goods, commodity, property, etc.
Ijara (leasing)
  • Leasing of assets with monthly rental payments.
  • The asset is gifted to the customer at the end of the rental period.
    eg- vehicles/machinery
