- Treasury Bond (T-bond) is a long-term financing instrument issued by the CBSL on behalf of the Government of Sri Lanka
- Maturities from 2 years to 30 Years
- T-bond is coupon security that is issued at its par value of Rs. 100/-
- Coupon payments are based on a semi-annual basis

- Investment and maturity proceeds will be assured by the Government
- No withholding tax
Documents Required
For new Individual / Joint Investors
- Duly filled application form
- Customer Agreement for Government Securities - Two copies of the customer agreement should be completed and duly signed
- Copy of National Identification Card / Driving License / Passport
- Address verification documents (If the given address differs from the NIC / the accounts maintained with Bank)
For a new Company / Society / Association
- Duly filled application form
- Customer Agreement for Government Securities - Two copies of the customer agreement should be completed and duly signed
- Board Resolution including the approval to invest in Government Securities with Bank of Ceylon
- Certificate of Incorporation
- Submission of Authorised signatories
General Information
- Transactions are conducted through a Current Account or Savings Account maintained with Bank of Ceylon
- Minimum amount of a Treasury Bond is Rs. 1,000,000/- (Face Value)
- Applications should reach Treasury Division before 10.30 a.m.
- For any withdrawals you may forward a formal request to the Treasury Division and your Treasury Bonds will be discounted at the prevailing market rate
