RTGS & SLIPS

Real-Time Gross Settlement System (RTGS) is widely being used by our branch network to transfer funds to other banks as per customers' requests. RTGS is a Fund Transfer mechanism between Banks on a real-time basis. The RTGS system has so many security features and international standards for risk control.

BOC provides SLIPS (Sri Lanka Interbank Payment System) payment facility provides the opportunity to transfer Employee Salaries, dividend payments, other bank loan repayment, fund transfers, other payments in Sri Lankan Rupees to another Rupee account in BOC or any other bank using the local clearing network in Sri Lanka securely and safely, within a few seconds.

Benefits

• No need to get the risk of carrying physical cash to deposit in banks is minimized.
• The transaction can be performed through BOC Internet banking facility.
• Maximum transaction limit LKR 5.00 Million (per transaction).
• Transaction will be effected on the same day if performed before 11.30 a.m.
• Performed before 5.00 p.m. transaction will be effected on the next working day.
   

Procedures

• request letter should be submitted
• File should be forwarded as per the given format

Rates & Fees

For multiple transfer (Text file)

• Rs.15/- for each credit item in the list   
  (minimum Rs.75/- per diskette & minimum number of a transaction should be 05)

For Single Transfer

• Via Internet Banking - Rs. 20 per transaction
• Manual Request - Rs. 50/- per transaction   
  (Maximum manual transactions per day is limited to 05 items per request)
