BOC Articles - Bank of Ceylon conducts 43rd annual White Sand Paving Ceremony at Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi

The ceremony was organized by the Bank of Ceylon Buddhist Association together with the Bank’s North Central Provincial Office continuing a long-standing religious observance organised to invoke blessings on the customers, staff, the Government, people of Sri Lanka and the country as a whole. 

The event was attended by Bank of Ceylon Chairman Kavinda de Zoysa, members of the Board of Directors,  General Manager/Chief Executive Officer Y.A. Jayathilaka, corporate and executive management including Assistant General Manager North Central Province, North Central Province team ,senior officials and the staff members of the Bank.

 Distinguished invitees including  Vice Chancellor of the Rajarata University Professor Bandula Jayathilaka , customers, and  large number of devotees were also present at the ceremony.

As part of the religious observance, Bank of Ceylon also contributed to the spreading of white sand within the sacred premises of the Ruwanweli Maha Seya, reaffirming its continued association with this annual meritorious activity in Anuradhapura.
