  • Download SmartPay App via Play Store or App Store
  • Sign up
  • Enter valid personal details to register
  • Enter the verification code that you receive
  • Create a 4-digit pin number
  • Answer security questions
How to add a payment tool
  • Select ‘Payment Methods’ from the menu
  • Click on ‘ADD NEW ACCOUNT’
  • Submit entering Account Type, Account Number and Nickname
  • Proceed to enter the randomly given amount. And, you are done!
How to add a Beneficiary Account
  • Select ‘Beneficiary Management’ from the menu
  • Click on ‘ADD Beneficiary’
  • Submit entering Your Bank, Account Type, Account Number and Account Nickname
  • Proceed to enter the “One Time Password” send to your registered phone number and, you are done!
How to add a Biller
  • Select ‘Biller Management’ from the menu
  • Click on ‘ADD Biller”
  • Select the category you need to pay the bill
  • Fill the required details and click “Submit” button
  • Verify the details appear in next screen and click “Confirm” button to proceed. 
Register as a Merchant
  • Select ‘My Shop” Icon from home screen
  • Fill ‘Merchant Registration’ form and enroll
  • Visit the nearest Bank of Ceylon branch and follow the SmartPay merchant application process
  • Enter the verification code you receive.

  • Is a bank involved with SmartPay?
    Yes. SmartPay is by Bank of Ceylon.
  • Do I have to have an account at BOC to use SmartPay?
    Anyone who is having savings or current account with enabled SMS alert facility in any Bank or Financial Institution can use the SmartPay App.
  • Is SmartPay compatible with any device?
    SmartPay works on most Android, iPhone and Huawei mobile phones.
  • How to signup for SmartPay?
    Simply download the App from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store or Huawei AppGallery, click on “Signup”, and follow the user-friendly steps to sign in. 
  • What if I didn’t get One Time Password at the registration Process?
    Please use “Resend OTP” option or still you didn’t receive please contact our call center 1975 to get assistance.

    No, due to security requirements, the app will not be compatible on such devices.

    Yes you can. If you the one who is the cashier point in your business go to SmartPay and make a request using “My Shop” option in the app and visit nearest branch to enroll with the LankaQR Facility.

    If your business has more than one cashier point, please visit nearest BOC branch to enroll corporate merchant facility. 
  • What are the payment networks enabled with Merchant QR?
    You can receive merchant payments from LankaQR payments and China UnionPay payments.
  • How merchant payment receive to your account?
