Ms. Kumudhini J Yogaratnam

Deputy General Manager (Support Services)

Mrs. Kumudhini J. Yogaratnam was appointed to the Corporate Management of the Bank of Ceylon as Deputy General Manager (Support Services) in January 2026.

She has over 28 years of extensive experience in commercial banking, with specialized expertise in General Banking, Credit Operations, Offshore Banking, and International Banking. Her career spans branch-level operations, portfolio management and policy-level responsibilities at Head Office, and significant overseas exposure, providing her with a comprehensive understanding of both domestic and international banking environments.

Mrs. Yogaratnam possesses 11 years of overseas branch experience, having served in multiple overseas assignments. She served as Country Manager of the Bank of Ceylon Chennai Branch from 2021 to 2023, providing overall leadership and strategic direction to the Bank’s operations in India. Earlier, she served as Deputy Manager of the Bank of Ceylon Chennai Branch from 2016 to 2019. In addition, she has three and a half years of experience in the Offshore Banking Division, during which she contributed to strengthening and overseeing the Bank’s offshore banking operations.

During her tenure at the Bank of Ceylon, she has held several senior leadership positions. Prior to her appointment to Corporate Management, she served as Assistant General Manager – Offshore Banking. Earlier, she functioned as Province Assistant General Manager, serving as the Provincial Head for the Eastern Province, where she led and managed the Bank’s regional operations.

Mrs. Yogaratnam joined the Bank of Ceylon in 1997 as a Management Trainee and has since gained wide exposure across all major aspects of commercial banking, both locally and internationally. Beyond her operational and managerial responsibilities, she has contributed significantly to capacity building and knowledge sharing as a Resource Person at the Bank’s Central Training Institute, the Industrial Development Board of Sri Lanka, and various entrepreneurial capacity-building programmes conducted by the Bank.

She holds a Bachelor of Science (Special) Degree in Business Administration from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and a Master of Business Administration from the Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM) of the same university. She is an Associate Member of the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka, holds Licentiate level of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka, and is a Life Member of the Professional Bankers’ Association of Sri Lanka.

She has been an active committee member of Indo-Asean Sri Lankan Chamber of Commerce in India during the period of 2020-2024.
