Mr. Shashi Jayasinghe

Deputy General Manager (Transformation and HR Strategy)

Mr. Shashi Jayasinghe was appointed to the Corporate Management of the Bank of Ceylon as the Deputy General Manager (Transformation and HR Strategy) in January 2026.

He is a seasoned human resources professional with over 22 years of extensive experience in human resources management across a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, construction, engineering, retail, distribution, and services. His areas of expertise encompass HR transformation and strategy, alignment of HR with business strategy, organisational development, HR analytics, talent management, learning and development, performance and reward management, Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) implementations, industrial and employee relations, change management and process optimisation.

Prior to joining the Bank of Ceylon, Mr. Jayasinghe held several senior leadership roles in fields of human resources. He served as General Manager – Group Human Resources (Operations) at EMJAY International (Pvt) Ltd and Penguin Sportswear (Pvt) Ltd. He has also functioned as Head of Human Resources at Tudawe Brothers Group of Companies and as Head of Human Resources and Administration at AMSK Constructions (Pvt) Ltd. Earlier in his career, he held a managerial role at MAS Holdings, where he contributed to the design and implementation of comprehensive HR frameworks for large-scale organisations.

Mr. Jayasinghe holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from the University of ICFAI, India, and a Master of Human Resources Management with a Merit Pass from the University of Colombo. He is a Lifetime Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Professional Managers of Sri Lanka and an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management Sri Lanka as well as the Association of HR Professionals, Sri Lanka.
