SENIOR FIDA (Senior Foreign Investment Deposit Account)

Non Sri Lankans / Non Resident Investors can invest their money at Bank of Ceylon for maximum benefits.

To obtain Sri Lankan Permanent Resident Visa for Senior Foreign Nationals under
“ Sri Lanka My Dream Home ” programme can open this account to get maximum benefits.

Eligible Applicants to open an account

Applicants should be foreign nationals above the age of 55 years.

An applicant is required to make a fixed deposit of US$ 15,000/ or its equivalent in other convertible foreign currencies in the name of the applicant.

A savings account in Sri Lanka rupees should also be opened with a minimum balance of US$ 1,500/ or equivalent in other currencies and monthly remittance for the same amount should be continued to be deposited to the account, to be spent in Sri Lanka.

Other Salient Features

If there are any dependants a further monthly remittance of US$ 750/ or equivalent in other foreign currencies is to be made to the same rupee account for each dependant on the same basis.

When the above eligible requirements are fulfilled resident visa for 2 years will be issued to the applicant by the department of Immigration & Emigration.
