Renters should be over 18 years of age

Should come to the bank to obtain the SDL facility

A locker could be obtained in the name of one or more persons

All such persons must produce their national Identity cards and should have a current/savings account at Bank of Ceylon

In the case of joint accounts, when opening and closing the lockers all joint holders should personally call over and sign the documents

Lockers are of five sizes-Super Large, Extra Large, Large ,Medium and Small

The Rental payable varies according to the size and type of the locker

Rental for SDLs should be paid annually

At the time of renting the locker, one year rent in advance and the locker deposit must be paid by the customer

The bank will pay annual interest on the deposit at the ruling fixed deposit rate
